Job Description
Ruwais Marine Services (RMS) is looking for a skilled Proposal/Estimation Engineer to join their team in Qatar. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, tender documents, and project proposals for marine and civil construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in the estimation and tendering process within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for marine and civil construction projects
- Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to develop competitive proposals
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams for accurate pricing
- Conduct market research for material costs, subcontractor rates, and labour pricing
- Prepare tender submissions ensuring compliance with client requirements
- Maintain a database of historical cost data and project benchmarks
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required
Requirements
- BSC / BE in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in estimation and tendering
- Strong knowledge of quantity takeoff methods and cost estimation software
- Experience with marine or oil & gas construction projects preferred
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation tools
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong written communication for proposal preparation
