Job Description
Ruwais Marine Services (RMS) is seeking a Senior HSE Officer with 8+ years of experience in oil & gas environments. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies across project sites in Qatar, conducting inspections, incident investigations, and ensuring full compliance with local and international HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and management systems on project sites
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports with corrective actions
- Deliver HSE training programs including toolbox talks and safety inductions
- Monitor compliance with Qatar HSE regulations and client-specific requirements
- Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, statistics, and reports
- Coordinate with project teams to develop site-specific safety plans
Requirements
- Higher Secondary education minimum
- NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory)
- Minimum 8 years of HSE experience in oil & gas sector
- Knowledge of Qatar HSE regulations and international safety standards
- Experience with permit-to-work (PTW) systems
- Strong incident investigation and reporting skills
- First aid and fire safety certifications preferred
